    Fear is basically just a physiological response to a thought or perceived outcome of an action or decision. In other words, if you think that action (A) will result in injury or harm, your body will warn you by triggering fear. So it is actually a blessing because it is a protective mechanism. The thing is, what if action (A) doesn't really pose any potential threat? Your body will still experience fear because our brains don't know the difference between reality and perceived reality. If you think you should be scared, you will be! Just to make sure this makes sense, let's try a simple experiment. Try to recall a time where you were completely happy. It could be a favorite vacation or a hobby that you enjoy. Try to imagine chat with randoms the environment. What does it look and smell like? What kind of ground are you walking on? Seriously, close your eyes and just try to recall this for a good 15 seconds. Do your best to relive the nostalgic moment. If you actually started to feel happy or any kind of change in your emotions, then you have just experienced a perceived reality. You didn't physically go back to that vacation spot did you? No, but your body still reacted to the thought of it. Fear works on this same level.
